The Sydney Writers’ Centre blogging competition involves an eclectic range of blogs, many of them new to me. These competitions are always a good way of finding new Australian bloggers in order to share the best of what is out there with a larger audience. It is very cool that 570 bloggers are being celebrated!
There are four categories that will judged – business, words, commentary and lifestyle – with a People’s Choice award too. I feel honoured and pleased to be nominated – thanks folks!
You may wish to follow @SydneyWriters and the proceedings on twitter at the hashtag #bestblogs2011
Vote for your favourite blogs here until the 5th May!
UPDATE: The judges have chosen this blog as a finalist in the ‘commentary’ category and you can read more in The Australian newspaper.

Oh, a couple of enthusiastic young authors at my school know about this competition and I have promised them, in the unlikely event that I win any prizes, that they can have the writer’s courses to develop their skills.

Well, the judges have made my blog a finalist in the ‘commentary’ section which means that a lucky student at my school will receive a voucher to attend a course courtesy of Sydney Writers. Cheers!
