The Opening Ceremony at the Olympics in Beijing was stunning and stimulated my sense of the metaphoric in a manner that such events usually do not.
The massive digital scroll that unfurled to highlight chapters in China’s history was just awesome. This masterful piece of storytelling – and technical wizardy – was a synthesis of form and content that was perfectly in synch with our times.
It was a tale of a revered past and, more importantly, an exciting future.
