‘Education’ and ‘Technology’ have had space at this blog but ‘Life’ needs more air-time. I turn 40 (I am Darcy1968 after all) in August and need to share my birthday treat with you, as we’ve just had confirmation that all plans are go! Kate and I will be leaving our 2 and 4 year olds with Grandma and Grandpa while we fly to Melbourne for some culture – well, at least a break.

Vue de Monde will hopefully provide an extraordinary culinary experience; there is no menu but one is offered, “a vast array of dishes…on any given day and through communication with the table the waiter creates a tailored dining experience specific to each party. Once a menu structure is established, matching wines can be organised to go with each course by our sommelier…” Sounds a bit scary actually.

Wicked is not scheduled to play in Sydney at this stage and is not my usual choice of theatre experience but should be good. Kate raves about the novel.

Happy to field any questions or advice about mid-life crises.
